Questions & Answers
QUESTION: Glad my e-mail got through to you okay. Is it possible to send positive energy by e-mail or am I reading too much into this? I received a nice warm feeling after reading your e-mail this morning. Thank you. I have a question for you. You say I am a healer. Would you explain what that is in more depth? Lately I have seen myself “helping” people (or guide them) through their problems. What do I need to do to not become swallowed up by their problems and still be effective? I do understand the need to “stand by” and allow them to make their own choices, right or wrong. Am I looking too deeply into this or am I more of a guide rather than a healer? Or are they the same? I look forward to your response.

ANSWER: Hi E,
It is not unusual for people who know me (as with other teachers) to feel a warmth or general feeling of well being, or direct healing energy, when they connect with me or other people who work with healing energy, regardless of the type of connection. Good feelings can be projected and received by people in any circumstance without time or space being a barrier. Trying to get the class to suspend belief that distance/space or time is a barrier to their ability to work with energy and information is one of the hurdles I must overcome when I teach psychic development. One example that pops up in classes is the classic wartime story of the mother who can feel what is going on with her son during a battle overseas. It is not so hard for them to understand that a stream of energy can connect two people so intimately, and that information and warm energy can flow through this conductor because their hearts and minds care for each other. In the class, I just have to show how the psychic/spiritual techniques can create this same type of intimate connection between open minded/open hearted professionals and whomever they aim their intent toward. As a professional psychic I have tuned in to absent people by holding an object they owned, gazing at a photograph, listening to the vibration as their name was spoken by the client, or they just popped up as a stream of information within the body of insight that passed through me as I read a client.
There are many of us who came to the earth to assist our fellow beings, work with all of the kingdoms of nature (mineral, plant, animal, human, angelic), develop our higher spiritual faculties and offer our services for the unfoldment of the divine plan. We are known by many names: ministers, healers, teachers, wise ones, masters, free thinkers, artists, creative types, fools, etc. If you think of your natural tendencies over the years, you will notice your particular talents and, more importantly, a pattern of how your soul expresses itself. I always had something to say about everything, was protective and self righteous, kept my distance from people and loved to see inside people and things to understand how they work and why they do what they do. Now, I am a teacher who remains at a distance from the people I work with to counsel and teach and would rather work with a group. So I could call myself a “teacher–warrior-counselor-reader-healer” in the order of my comfort zones. Another person may want to be right there with an individual directly sending healing energy into their body and counseling on a more intimate level. I might call them a “healer-counselor-reader-teacher-warrior”, using these same words to describe him or her.
You answer your own questions nicely, which means your intuition is bringing through the truth you seek. Now all you need to do is move toward listening to it and following it more. Eventually you will develop a trusting relationship with your inner knowledge (inner voice-vision-feeling-sensing-knowing) which will lead to having deep faith in you higher self and all that is shining down upon it from even higher still.
Sometimes the answers or suggestions spirit offers a client is not what they want to hear, not what you expected, and may not even make sense in the moment. Sometimes the information appears to lead to what they might call ‘negative’ results. It is not about optimization, career success, financial reward, the lover they want, or even the path they think is correct for them. Guidance simply leads the person who seeks it to the path that leads to the process they need for their soul to prosper in the long term, and will lead to their eventual good – even if they can not see it at the time. A big example: Most people think of death and dying as a bad trip, even though we all bought tickets to only a few seasons on this planet. I have assisted in the passing of souls back to the higher realms. It can be as beautiful an experience as ushering in a new soul by assisting in a home birth, which I have also done.

QUESTION: Hello, I began to read your book recently and enjoy it very much. I’ve studied metaphysics and numerology for many years with a school in the Cleveland, Ohio area. My teachers have published a book “The Path of Light” among others. Their teachings are almost exactly as you describe in your book in reference to the conscious, subconscious and super conscious minds, the chakras, etc. I was happy to see this included in your book as so many books never mention the various phases of mind and spend so much time on the history of the Tarot. I haven’t read the Tarot for others too much because of a fear of not being adequate, not providing a valuable service, afraid the client will be dissatisfied. However, the readings I have done are normally very accurate. I realize this is a fear I have and need to work on with the subconscious. I would like to someday do as you do if not on a full time basis and full part time basis.
Rob from Ohio
ANSWER: Dear Rob,
The two things most important for good psychic/spiritual work, be it Tarot readings, healings, or spiritual initiations, is (1) to clear out the “stuff” that is in the way, and (2) to relax and allow it to happen through you as a channel. This relaxation is the process of expanding and harmonizing our minds and bodies. Your willingness to clear out the subconscious is right on target. A good hypnotherapist coordinated with a program of meditation can quickly enhance relaxation and assist in the release of old psychological patterns and the freeing of the dense energy they bind to the aura. Many people work the psychic fairs and small gatherings, as a form of weekend and evening “service” while remaining in regular employment – all this while working on their own issues and striving for constant improvement.
When I was running psychic fairs back in the early eighties, we would discuss how we, the readers, would draw exactly the right clients for both their needs and our own development. The people who are intuitively guided to sit at your table, to be awakened and healed by you, will also help you see the issues you need to heal within yourself. I wonder why I drew so many talkative, know-it-all, egotistic, types. It is okay for us to be aware of our limitations, be self conscious, and be cautious about potentially harming others… yet simply get out of the way in the moment when a client sits before us – an provide powerful and incredibly helpful service. Doing readings for the public, in an “entertainment + service” combination, can further your connection with your spiritual guides and offer an opportunity to use advanced techniques when the intuition calls them forth\ into a reading I found that the students who worked diligently on their foundation work (relaxation, self-esteem, self-healing) were the clearer channels. The degree of openness and harmony in the body-mind relationship determines how the spirit can flow through in service to others. Think of a large cup opened to the sky held with a steady hand, vs. a dented cup with holes, held in a weak and shaking hand that is easily jostled by the opinions of others and constantly changing directions according to the forces of the wind and the desires of those who they are trying to serve.
Sincerely,

QUESTION: I am psychic and it always comes and goes. I don’t know how to control my gift at all. I am also a healer and an empath. But using my gift is so hard it seems like my gift uses me I don’t use it. It seems at certain times it chooses when I am allowed to be psychic. That’s the only way I can describe it. Can you give me advice for developing my gift? Thank you very much and brightest blessings. W.L.
ANSWER: Being psychic is natural. We all are psychic. Those who suffer from it usually are highly psychic and it may be past their time to awaken to it. Developing your psychic talents in a professional manner can lead you to seeing, feeling and experiencing the world, and all the other realities, as beautiful gardens shining with a peaceful light. It can bring you into a sense of harmony with nature, people, and more importantly… yourself. Year by year this will unfold if you study and practice.
The problems we experience in regard to psychic abilities are mostly from misunderstanding and fearing it, and not being taught how to use it early enough in life. The result is an overload of tensions, problems, blocks and fears that we hold in our bodies and subconscious minds. They are the biggest reason why people are afraid of opening their psychic perceptions. Clearing and healing our own “stuff” can be painful at times. Seeing the negativity in others is also unsettling. But psychic and spiritual techniques not only release the negative and bring warmth and light into those cold dark areas inside us, they actually can bring you to a point where you are shining light and love out of your body like a lighthouse and make you a positive force on the planet.
There are also beautiful and powerful spiritual beings (spirit guides, guardian angels, etc) who wait for us to ask them for help from above. They are dedicated to protecting, teaching and guiding us every step of the way as long as we are not closing ourselves off to their influence.
Personally, I believe that a good, open minded, therapist could be a tremendous help in the journey to awakening, especially at the beginning. They can assist us in facing the unconscious psychological patterns that hold us back and cause us pain. I also employed a hypnotherapist (and made audio tapes of the sessions) to help me learn to relax deeply and imagine ways to release old energies and discomfort, fears, etc, from my body. Ten years later, I went into a professional studio and recorded a relaxation tape (Amber Light) based on these ideas to help my own students take a big step through their problems. I still play it to myself when I get bogged down in my old patterns and need to relax and open up again.
The psychic gift is always there. It is probably a matter of your body being overloaded with tension and your everyday way of thinking occupying your conscious mind. This will block you off until something psychic is strong enough to break through it and rises to the surface of your awareness. This can be caused by a momentary lapse in this nervous thinking such as: when first awakening, taking a shower, or gazing out a window mindlessly. (History class spaced me out so much that I was watching actual scenes from the historic times the teacher was discussing and could not pass the tests because I wasn’t really in the room trying to memorize the names and dates he wanted.) An outside situation, or person, in need of psychic help can also draw you into an intuitive mode whether you were trying to enter it or not. Don’t forget – you are and have always been a healer and empath, regardless of your age, recognition of it, or degree of training. As we get older we just have to face it more whether we want to believe it or not.
This is an amazing time on the earth. There are masters, channelers and teachers who have put their years of study and spiritual unfoldment down on paper, on audio and video tape, and travel to teach what they know to the general public. So many people are awakening to their psychic and spiritual gifts and are surrounded by healers, readers, teachers, initiators who are ready and willing to help them. I suggest that my students look for at least two other teachers to study three different methods or aspects, so they don’t get caught up in any one teaching or teacher.
I am presently putting together a list of books that a few dozen of my colleagues and advanced students are recommending to add to my personal reading list. I recommend reading books by White Eagle to know what it sounds and feels like to have a guide speak to you. Use your intuition to choose books on personal growth, relaxation, meditation, opening the chakras, healing the aura, and basic psychic development and spiritual unfoldment. The students who spent time and effort on their basic psychology and relaxation ended up rising through advanced classes effortlessly. Those who tried to pass through the basics quickly kept getting stuck trying to become advanced without having a solid foundation in basics, a clear mind and a healed body vehicle to journey in. Humility is an important key to success on the path. I still think of myself as a beginner in so many ways even after over twenty years in the field. The day I believe I have it… I am it… I am no longer a seeker of truth, therefore I have limited the light, love and wisdom to the stage I am presently in.
Practice a little of the following every day, even if only for five or ten minutes. Physical exercises, relaxation exercises, opening your aura to healing energies, expanding your chakras, meditating, asking the higher realms for help on your journey. It could be a ten minute yoga exercise while playing a tape you make guiding yourself through these other things, instead of trying to harness your thinking each day to get it done. Many people claim they don’t have the time. My answer is that we all get 24 hours every day. We choose what we spend these hours on. If they still insist there is no room in their life, I suggest doing it in the shower, during those normally frustrating times we have to wait (trains, buses, red lights, elevators, waiting rooms, waiting for a phone call, on hold, etc.), or while performing simple tasks that leave room for the mind to do other tasks.
